VINE COTTAGE
Vine Cottage
THE INN AT WESTWYND FARM
will stop, if only for lack of reception.

Owner Tammy Hahn said the house
was built in 1900 and has been a working
inn for 116 years. The 10-bedroom inn
has a library on the second floor, which is
the only room with a television. “As one of
our guests put it: ‘If you’re coming to Bath
County to watch TV, there’s something
wrong with you,” Hahn said. “There’s just
so much to see and do in the area.”
Hahn’s husband, Dave, does all of the
cooking. Dave Hahn uses a commer-
cial-grade 1928 Magic Chef stove and
oven. The 93-year-old appliance only adds
to the charm of the historic inn.

Tammy Hahn said guests love the
welcoming atmosphere. “Everybody talks
about how welcoming the home is,” she
said. “Even before we took over, we walked
in and we just felt at home.”
Guests can opt to spend the day
relaxing at the Omni Homestead Resort,
located minutes away, before coming back
to Vine Cottage for a peaceful evening in
the mountains. “This is the perfect place
to go if you’re looking to escape and leave
the rat race of life behind for a while,”
said Hahn.

THE INN AT WESTWYND FARM,
HERSHEY, PA.

westwyndfarminn.com 717-533-6764
innkeeper@westwyndfarminn.com Situated on a 32-acre horse farm, the Inn
at Westwynd Farm operates under the guise
of being in the wilderness. However, venture
just three miles out of the rolling hills and
suddenly bustling Hershey, Pa., appears,
offering a variety of activities for anyone
who wants to enjoy the tranquil farm life or
the thrills of Hershey Park. Nature lovers
and city dwellers can find common ground
at the Inn at Westwynd Farm.

Owner Carolyn Troxell describes the
12-bedroom inn as “casually elegant.” With
about 20 horses, kittens, goats and even a
peacock, guests are welcome to visit the
property’s barn. Aside from the scenery,
Troxell said the hospitality is what keeps the
guests coming. “We’re known for our food
and the way we pamper our guests,” she said.

She said there’s even a common de-
scription for the inn: “So convenient, but a
world apart,” referring to nearby Hershey
and immediate farm surroundings of the
inn. “The inn is tucked away in the middle
of our farm,” she said.

She noted that guests love the access to
animals, which isn’t common at bed and
breakfasts. “Guests really enjoy the farm
setting and being able to sit out on the
porch and watch the horses in the field,”
she said. MM
